[Case Study] Strengthening Environmental Monitoring! Improving Efficiency of Factory Wastewater and Patrol Inspections!

No wiring work is needed between the site and the office for data collection, visualization, and notifications via wireless technology!

The customer was conducting two rounds of inspection of the pH meter located at the factory wastewater measurement site, once in the morning and once in the evening. However, with a decrease in factory personnel, there has been a demand for the automation of the inspection process. In the process of automation, the customer expressed a desire to monitor the pH measurement values in real-time and also to automate the recording of flow rates. In response, our company proposed the "LoRa wireless device." With this system configuration, we were able to address the customer's needs by enabling both "data collection and visualization via an IoT gateway at the main office" and "visualization with a bar graph meter (FDG) and abnormal notifications at the site office" within a single system, thus solving the customer's issues. In recent years, with the promotion of work style reform, there has been an increasing demand for improved productivity and the correction of long working hours, necessitating companies to accurately grasp the actual working hours and tasks of their employees. However, the accuracy of data collection remains unclear. Particularly in the manufacturing industry, many cases still rely on handwritten forms, leading to challenges in accurately capturing performance information due to omissions or errors in entries. Against this backdrop, our company has developed an "RFID Work Performance Collection System" that allows performance data to be transmitted simply by placing an RFID tag on an autonomous RFID reader. Since there is no need to record each start and completion of work, workers can naturally and accurately log their working hours without being consciously aware of it. This ease of collecting performance data allows for more time to be allocated to data analysis, enabling effective use of the information for reviewing personnel allocation and understanding and improving the status of each process as part of profit improvement data.
